2024-25 Small Chapter of the Year

ACEC California recognizes the Marin Chapter as the 2024-25 Small Chapter of the Year. This prestigious award celebrates a year of exceptional leadership, growth, and service to the engineering and land surveying professions. 

Throughout the 2024–2025 fiscal year, the Marin Chapter demonstrated a deep commitment to ACEC California’s mission through: 

• QBS: The chapter has been actively tracking Qualifications-Based Selection (QBS) issues in the region. 
• Scholarship: Contributing to the ACEC California Scholarship Foundation through raffle donations and direct contributions. 
• Legislative Advocacy: Participating in the 2025 Legislative Visit Day (LVD), meeting with three legislators. Also held a joint member meeting with Assemblymember Damon Connolly. 
• Membership Engagement: Organizing monthly membership luncheon meetings with complimentary lunch to encourage attendance. Guest speakers included Chief Engineer Bill Gamlen of Sonoma Marin Area Rapid Transit (SMART)

Chapter Member of the Year

ACEC Marin and State Board member, Mike Colety, is the Marin Chapter Member of the year. Mike has generated new energy in this chapter over the last year both within chapter activities and for the state board.
