2023 ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNERS

 

The American Council of Engineering Companies of California’s annual Engineering Excellence Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievements in engineering and land surveying projects completed by California firms. Entries are accepted into one of 12 project categories: studies, research and consulting engineering services; building/technology systems; structural systems; surveying and mapping technology; environmental; waste and storm water; water resources; transportation; special projects; small projects; energy; and industrial and manufacturing processes and facilities.

The 2023 Golden State Award goes to HNTB Corporation for

the Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project in Los Angeles.

 

With the City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering as the client and owner, HNTB Corporation was the architect of record and engineer of record for the Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project, a groundbreaking design that sets a new threshold for seismic safety and expands the utility of urban bridges. 

 

The Golden State Award is the highest honor ACEC California bestows as part of its annual Engineering Excellence Awards program.
