Form A is the full version of the ACEC California Standard Form of Agreement between Client and Consultant. The form has been developed over a 30+ year period. The agreement represents the collective experience of hundreds of firms providing similar types of services. Each paragraph responds to either standard contract provisions dictated by basic principles of contract law or specific problems that have been encountered in the past between member firms and their clients. The most current version is dated 2025. All of the Standard Forms of Agreement are regularly reviewed and updated when required by changes in the law.
