Form A is the full version of the ACEC California Standard Form of Agreement between Client and Consultant. The form has been developed over a 30+ year period. The agreement represents the collective experience of hundreds of firms providing similar types of services. Each paragraph responds to either standard contract provisions dictated by basic principles of contract law or specific problems that have been encountered in the past between member firms and their clients. The form was last updated in June of 2017. Form A.1 is the short form version of Form A. It was first developed in 2001 as an alternative to the full Standard Form of Agreement. In some situations, a shorter form is appropriate. Please refer to the Standard Form Instructions document for information on exactly which provisions are omitted from the short version. This form was last updated June 2017. Form C is the ACEC California Standard Form of Agreement between Consultant and Subconsultant. This form was last updated in June 2017. Standard Form Instructions: The purpose of the Instruction Document is to explain the reasons for each of the Standard Form provisions, and to identify the provisions omitted from the Short Form A.1. The attached instruction sheet should be used exclusively as an in-house document by your firm, and should not be utilized as an addendum or part of the agreement between you and your clients.
The purpose of the job center is to match the talent of engineers and surveyors with ACEC California firms looking for expertise in a specific field. At no cost and at any time, visitors can view a list of current job openings with ACEC California's engineering and surveying firms. ACEC California recognizes how hard it can be to find qualified engineers and surveyors and by making this job center open to the public, we are actively making the process a little easier. Likewise, ACEC California recognizes how daunting it can be for engineers and surveyors to find the right firm offering the right position. That's why ACEC California has created an opportunity for those in the job market to post their resume to ACEC California's website, where our members can review and consider it for job openings they may have in their office.
