2010 Legislative Suggestions

What Laws Would You Like to Add or Change?

Help Us Prepare ACEC California’s 2010 State Legislative Agenda

Is there a California state law you would like to see amended? Is something missing? What changes in state law would be most beneficial to your firm? Here is the opportunity for you to suggest legislation which ACEC California should sponsor in 2010.

Please use the attached form to describe those California laws that you would like to be added or amended. Be as specific as you can. If possible, cite the particular code section(s) you would like to see changed and even state your proposed new wording for the law. However, even if you only have a general idea for a law change we still want to hear from you. Many of our best ideas come from outside-the-box brain storming.

ACEC California's Legislative Action Committee, chaired by Leroy Carlenzoli of the North Coast Chapter, will review your suggestions and consider them for inclusion in ACEC California’s 2010 Legislative Program. The Committee will develop a recommended legislative program which it will present to the ACEC California Board of Directors at the October 15-16th 2009 Board Meeting in Long Beach.

Thank you for your help. The willingness of the membership to take a few minutes of their time and participate in the ACEC California's legislative program is a key ingredient to its success.
